Other Projects

I don't just make costumes, after all! These are other projects that I had a lot of fun making, and wanted to show off somewhere.

Soft Sculpture Pigeon

I made this pigeon out of fabric scraps, wire, thread, and stuffed animal eyes. It took a lot of time and effort to make. I followed a pattern to make the body of the pigeon- a simple cotton plushie. I then stuffed it until it was firm and added legs that I made from wire. After installing the eyes and wrapping the wire-legs with thread, I added many small feathers. It was a complicated project, but very fun.

I thought I would make at least a few other soft sculptures after this pigeon. The materials don't cost much, after all! But the time... It took about ten hours to make just this one! It was bought quickly.

Scrapfish

Little fish plushies made from scraps of fabric and thread that would otherwise have no purpose. I like to do things with my hands when I'm stressed, so these have been a great portable option. Some of them are kind of janky, but I think that gives them some charm.
